Abstract
1,027,919. Self-propelled missiles; aerial warfare. HIRTENBERGER PATRONENZUNDHUTCHEN - UND METALLWARENFABRIK A.G. March 16, 1964 [March 21, 1963], No. 11106/64. Headings F3A and F3C. [Also in Division B7] An aircraft or missile is hexagonal in planform and has an aerofoil cross-section. It preferably has a fin 2, rudder 3 and ailerons 4 (Figs. 1-3, not shown), and may be hollow for load carrying or solid and made of plastics material in which explosive, incendiary or splinter material is embedded. A plurality of such aircraft may be connected together, e.g. by frangible connections 5 (Fig. 7, not shown), which allow them to separate in flight. Where a straight-sided composite aircraft is required, aircraft halves 6 are used. The composite aircraft may be of tubular form (Fig. 8, not shown).
