Abstract

1,027,693. Machinery beds. DENCO A.G. May 15, 1963 [May 21, 1962], No. 19311/63. Heading F2X. [Also in Division D1] An anti-vibration mounting for a loom comprises a runner 24 secured to, or integral with, the bottom of the loom frame end, a base 23 underlying the runner 24 and rigidly fixed to a floor, and interfitting cradle parts near opposite ends of the runner and the base, which cradle parts transmit the bearing load from the runner to the base and allow small longitudinal movements of the runner and the loom relative to the base in response to loom vibrations in that direction. Each cradle part includes a bearing pad 31 integral with the base 23 and having a longitudinal inclination of about 10 degrees relative to the base, transversely inclined bearing faces 32 thereon meeting at a longitudinal ridge 33, and a correspondingly inclined pair of downward facing bearing surfaces 40 (Figs. 3, 4, not shown) on a portion 39 of the runner 24. Between the faces 40 and 32 are a sintered metal plate 34 and a pad 41, e.g. of P.T.F.E. Bearing pad 31 and plate 34 are considerably longer than bearing surface 40 and pad 41.
