Abstract

1,027,471. Brackets. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. Sept. 13, 1963 [Nov. 7, 1962], No. 42118/62. Heading A4B. [Also in Division E2] A detachably mounted fastening, e.g. for supporting shelves in a cabinet has a base portion 1 (Figs 1, 2)) a stud portion 3, a U-section channel shaped portion 2 and is of resilient synthetic plastics. The stud portion has a neck 5 and a shoulder 4 which has a cam surface directed toward the base. The stud 3 being of generally oval cross section if inserted through a rectangular aperture in a panel, e.g. a cabinet wall, then turned through an angle of 90 degrees so that the cam surface rides over the panel surface and the panel is thereby clamped between the cam surface and the base 1. In such a position the U-channel will be directed as shown in Fig 3, so as to receive and support a rod like element of a shelf e.g. in a refrigerator.
