[Also in Division H1] A method of assembling a wired component 10 having a plurality of wires 11 of the same or different lengths into central holes of hollow pins 2 of an electrical base component 1 comprises locating the base in a holder 21, Fig. 3 (not shown), mounted on a vibrator table 16, locating the wire ends of the wired component within the pin cavities 5 and vibrating the table by an electromagnet 20 at e.g. 100 vibrations per sec. transversely to the longitudinal direction of the cavities whilst further lowering the component 10 so that the wire ends pass through the pin holes 4. The components are subsequently joined together. The method may also be applied to assembling wired members into members having stepped bore cavities.
