Connecting-rods.-In a radial - cylinder engine, the connecting-rods are arranged in groups, and the ends of the connecting-rods engage concentric grooves in disks mounted on the crankpin. Figs. 1 and 2 show the connecting - rods arranged in three groups h, k, n. Flanges on the connecting - rods h, k, n respectively engage in pairs of grooves e, e<1>, f, f<1>, g, g<1> formed in bronze or other disks c, c'. The flanges of the connecting-rods k, n are slotted for the passage of the connecting-rods h, k. The disks c, c<1> are formed with abutting flanges d, d', and are mounted in sleeves a. a<1>, which contain ball bearings, and are formed with telescoping projections secured together by a key b.
