Abstract

1,026,196. Frequency detectors. RECORD ELECTRICAL CO. Ltd. Oct. 15, 1962 [Oct. 23, 1961], No. 37856/61. Heading H3A. A.C. is applied over capacitor C1 to a series pair of back-to-back Zener diodes Z1, Z2 and the resulting rectangular waveform of constant amplitude applied to charge oppositely and alternately a capacitor C2, via rectifiers MR1, MR2 respectively, one (MR2) energizing a meter M indicating frequency. A further rectifier MR3 and circuit R1, C3 back biases the meter deflection. A low voltage Zener diode Z3 back biases rectifiers MR1 and MR2 to prevent the meter back bias voltage from rectifier MR3 being shunted to earth.
