867,344. Measuring electrically. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Jan. 12, 1959, No. 1031/59. Class 40 (1). In a system for transmitting the readings of a synchroscope, the alternating current developed in coil 12, whose alignment relative to the magnetic field produced by A.C. in coil 5 is controlled by the indicator of the synchroscope, is rectified and applied to a device 7 which generates impulses at a frequency proportional to the amplitude of the applied current, a suitable device being described in Specification 629,254. The impulses are then applied, via signalling channel 8 to a device 9 which delivers an output current proportional to the frequency of the applied pulses, e.g. the device described in Specification 629,245. The output current of this device is fed to a milliammeter 10 the reading of which is a function of the phase difference between the two inputs, 1 and 2 of the synchroscope.
