Abstract

1,026,012. Frequency detectors. RECORD ELECTRICAL CO. Ltd. Oct. 15, 1962 [July 26, 1961], No. 27034/61. Heading H3A. A ring rectifier bridge is connected in series with a capacitor and a transistor switch, rendered conductive by a rectangular waveform formed by limiting the A.C. input whose frequency is to be measured. Charging and discharging current to and from the capacitor passes through a meter in the other bridge diagonal, in each case in the same direction. A resistor shunting both the bridge and capacitor passes the discharge current. A Zener diode stabilizes the operating voltage.
