1411081 Protective arrangements MOSKOVSKY ORDENA LENINA ENERGETICHESKY INSTITUT 3 Oct 1972 [7 July 1971] 31949/71 Heading H2K A D.C. power line protective system has a voltage sensor 7 at its input end arranged to provide an output voltage proportional to the line voltage and connected to a capacitance 11 in parallel with a resistance 12 and to a diode 13 in series therewith to provide an output signal across the diode terminals 14, 15 when the rate of change of the line voltage compared with the line voltage exceeds a reference value set by the values of the capacitance and resistance. A control element 10 across terminals 14, 15 provides an output signal which is used to disconnect the power line and activate a recloser (not shown).
