A sound-absorbing lining for the wall 10 of an enclosure, such as a tunnel, comprises corrugated sheets 11 in which those channels B, B<SP>1</SP> facing towards the wall 10 are foraminated in their bottoms only and in which the sum of the widths Xa of those channels A facing away from the wall 10 measured at the level of the bottoms of the channels B, B<SP>1</SP> is less than the sum of the widths Xb and Xb<SP>1</SP> of the channels B. B<SP>1</SP> at that level. The channels B<SP>1</SP> contain a fibrous filling, are wider than and alternate with the channels B which remain empty, and are provided with a greater density of foraminations 16 than are provided at 15 in the channels B, whereby the channels B, B<SP>1</SP> act respectively as low and high frequency sound absorbing chambers. The bottoms of the channels A are railed to the wall. The sheets 11 may be of synthetic resin or metal.
