A transfer sheet comprises a transfer mounted on a surface of a backing sheet of plastics material, e.g. polyethylene polypropylene polystyrol, with an adhesive coating of a coldacting pressure sensitive adhesive and a heatactivated adhesive either as a mixture or as separate superimposed layers on the outer face of the transfer. The pressure sensitive adhesive may be a hard wax containing resin whilst the heat-activable adhesive may be sealing wax.
