Abstract

1,024,886. Discharge of lids singly from a stack. J. DE VREE & CO. P.V.B.A. Sept. 3, 1963 [Sept. 10, 1962], No. 34789/63. Heading B8S. The bottommost lid of a stack 1 is discharged therefrom by the reciprocation of members 3, 4, 5 and 6, which reciprocates as a unit. Thus the stack rests on members 3 and 4, engaging them by the rim of the bottommost lid. As the members move leftwards the stack falls and is supported by the members 5 and 6, so that when the members move back rightwards the lowermost rim is engaged by the wedgeshaped edges 7 of members 3 and 4 and the lowermost lid is released to fall down the gap 7, 8 between pairs of members whilst the weight of the stack is transferred to the members 3 and 4. In the embodiment the members 3, 4, 5 and 6 are reciprocated together by a fluid cylinder and the frame of the apparatus has upstanding rods which form a magazine support for the stack of lids and the rods are displaceable by nut and'screw movement so that the apparatus is adaptable to lids of differing sizes.
