Abstract

1,043,275. Feeding sheets. PAKKO-TRYK A.S. June 21, 1963, No. 24857/63. Heading B6B. Carton blanks 2 are separated sequentially from the bottom of a magazine 1 by a reciprocating sucker 5 which places the separated blank 2<SP>1</SP> opposite the bite of a pair of feed rollers 6, 7, the blank is then pushed between the rollers by a pusher 8, and the rollers feed the blank to engage an adjustable stop 12 in a blank processing machine, the arrangement being such that the length of the pusher 8 can be adjusted to suit blanks of different sizes. As shown, the rollers, magazine, sucker and pusher are carried in a frame 3 slidably mounted on guides 10 on the machine, and can be adjusted relatively to the machine by a rack or other means. The pusher 8 can be cam-operated or, as shown, operated by a piston and compressed air cylinder 9, and can be adjusted to suit different sizes of blanks, for example, by providing an adjustable finger 8<SP>1</SP> thereon. When the blank engages the stop 12 on the work-table 11, it may initiate a stroke by a piston 13 to operate on the blank. The distance between the rollers 6, 7 and the sucker 5 may be made adjustable.
