[Also in Division B5] A panel for attachment to the inner panel of a motor vehicle door comprises a base board 8 having a strip 6 of flexible protective material, e.g. carpet material at its lower end, the upper edge of the protective material being located in the channel of a plastics strip of channel X- section bonded to the board. The edge of the carpet material is thereby prevented from lifting from the board. The protective material may have binding material stitched along its other edges which are stuck around the edges of the board. The upper edge of the board may be covered with foam plastics 9 covered with a plastics sheet 10 extending from the top of the board beneath the channel strip. A light reflective strip covered with transparent material may be bonded to the outer face 12 of the channel strip.
