Abstract

1,022,812. Electric motors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Nov. 20, 1964 [Nov. 20, 1963], No. 45815/63. Heading H2A. A small motor, as shown, for driving a fan is supported in a U-shaped cradle 3, the stator 1 resting in the central trough 4 and secured by a spring clip 18, and the rotor bearings 8 being secured in seatings 11 in the upstanding endwalls 5 of the cradle by clamps 14 secured by screws 15. The stator is located in the cradle by shoulders 20. The unit is oscillated on boss 7 by conventional gear 22-27 controlled by a knob 28 which may be unscrewed to decouple the pinion 22 from its shaft 23, this shaft being then frictionally locked to hold the fan steady. The motor may be used in a kitchen mixer, duster, or hair-dryer.
