Abstract

An appliance for cooking sausage under a grill consists of a frame 2, 3, supporting skeleton rolers 14 arranged to be rotated in the same sense, so that the rotation is imparted to sausages lying in the nips between them. The drive may be by chain 9 from an electric motor 13. Alternatively, a worm gear or reciprocating rack and pinions may be used. The surfaces of the rollers may, alternatively, be entire or consist of parallel rods. Some of the rollers may be replaced by skewers. Foldable legs 14 support the frame on a drip tray 18 having a detachable handle 24 which can engage alternative pairs of apertures in the rims of the tray. Part of the frame may protrude beyond the grill with which it is used, to allow unloading and loading to take place on this part, without interrupting the cooking. The use of the appliance in deep fat frying is referred to.
