1,021,335. Valves. LONGLEY ALLOYS Ltd. May 15, 1964 [Feb. 15, 1963], No. 18445/63. Divided out of 1021334. Heading F2V. In a rotary valve the closure member 36 is provided with a sealing ring 37 of p.t.f.e. or the like, and is arranged on a crank-arm 32 integral with the spindle 17, the spindle being mounted eccentrically with respect to the chamber 4, the curvature of the latter being the same as that of the closure member. Stops 31, which may be adjusted, limit the travel of the arm 30. The invention may be applied to rotary conical, cylindrical or spherical valves. In an alternative embodiment, the face of the closure member may be serrated, and the sealing material may be sprayed on.
