Abstract
1,020,928. Pipe couplings. AEROQUIP CORPORATION. Dec. 12, 1962 [Dec. 27, 1961], No. 46973/62. Heading F2G. In a fluid coupling comprising interconnectible members 10<SP>1</SP>, 73<SP>1</SP>, Figs. 1 to 5 (not shown), incorporating valves biased by springs to the closing positions thereof and opened upon interconnection of the members, the members 10<SP>1</SP>, 73<SP>1</SP> respectively are mounted on mounting members 158, 146. The member 146 carries coaxial projections 154 and the member 158 is provided with coaxial pivots on which are mounted levers 168 having cam surfaces engageable with the projections 154 upon aligning and intermating guide elements comprising pins 180 and holes 157. Locking recesses are formed in the levers whereby simultaneous rotation of the levers will draw the members 146, 158 toward each other interconnecting the members 10<SP>1</SP>, 73<SP>1</SP>, upon the projections 154 being received within the recesses the members 10<SP>1</SP>, 73<SP>1</SP> are locked together in mutual communication. The coupling incorporates electric contact members 182.
