[Also in Division B8] A mixing machine, e.g. as disclosed in Specification 767,403 for mixing confectionery ingredients fed from a hopper, includes a container 2 with a removable lid 5 having a feed opening 4 formed with a seating for a closure 11. The closure is carried by an arm 9 pivoted to the lid and an operating piston 14 engages the arm. A vent 21 beneath a screw thread of the lid ensures the release of pressure unless the lid is made tight.
