Abstract

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis are effected in the presence of an inert fluidized bed containing catalytic hollow bodies having a plurality of perforations therein and being substantially free from projections into the hollow interior thereof. Ni-Al alloy is a specified catalyst.ALSO:In the catalytic oxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide, propylene to acrolein and in Fischer-Tropsch syntheses there are used fluidized beds containing finely divided particles and a plurality of catalytic hollow bodies each having a plurality of perforations therein and being substantially free of projections into the hollow interior thereof. The hollow bodies may be coated with appropriate catalysts, e.g. Ca-Ag, Ca-Cu or Ni-Al alloys. Examples describe <FORM:1019235/C2/1> reactions, using dichlorofluoroethylene as moderator.
