Abstract

1,018,963. Spark igniters. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. Jan. 6, 1964 [Nov. 12, 1962], No. 42599/62. Heading F4F. [Also in Division F1] A valve-controlled fuel passage 19 is provided having an outlet arranged to direct fuel on to the discharge surface of a surface discharge sparking plug for gas turbine engines. As shown, the solenoid operated valve 11 is energized to permit flow of fuel when the plug is energized. The lip 20 is formed with four radial passages communicating respectively with passages 19. A number of modifications are described.
