[Also in Division H4] In an X-ray diagnosis apparatus radiation from a tube 1 defines an X-ray image of an object 9 on a fluorescent screen which is intensified by an input image intensifier 10 and projected on to the signal plate of a television camera tube 11. A fraction of the video signal voltage, synchronously sampled during a line scan through an electronic switch 18, is integrated by a device 13 and applied to a comparator 14 together with a reference voltage from a potentiometer 17. The difference voltage from the comparator controls a regulating device 19 which maintains the brightness at the television tube constant by adjusting a variable ratio input transformer 3 of a high-voltage anode supply for the tube 1 and a rheostat 5 controlling the cathode current.
