Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically adjust the brightness of a phosphor screen to a specified optimum value by connecting a secondary electron multiplier and a constant voltage source through a photoconductive device and controlling the resistivity of the photoconductive device. CONSTITUTION:The current applied on the phosphor screen 3 of an image intensifier is smoothed by a smoothing circuit 30 and is compared with the reference voltage by a comparator 40. Then an output which corresponds to its difference is sent to a transistor 53 and its continuity is controlled. Besides, the light quantity of a neon lamp 52 is controlled by the transistor 53. The resistivity of a photoconductive device 99 is controlled by this light quantity and the voltage applied to a secondary electron multiplier 80 is controlled.
