101,877. Kitchen Service Co., (Assignees of Carson, W. A.). Oct. 21, 1915, [Convention date]. Dishes and the like, washing. - A machine for washing dishes, cutlery, &c. comprises a tank 5 containing a cleansing- liquid, a basket 9 for the dishes &c., and a set of splashers or beaters 21 mounted in .succession at ninety degrees apart on a shaft 14 rotated bv chain -.and-sprocket gearing 18 driven by a handle 20. The splashers or beaters are formed of dished plates, preferably in pairs placed back to back so as to be effective in either direction of rotation, with sloping ends 24 to throw the liquid up into the basket, and with parts 25 bent around the square shaft and secured together. The basket 9 is supported by corner plates 10 and may be divided by wire racks 11, a space being left for a basket 12 for cutlery.
