Abstract
1,018,617. Circuits employing bi-stable magnetic elements. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. June 29, 1962 [March 30, 1961], No. 11808/61. Heading H3B. An " exclusive OR " device -comprises two two-aperture input cores A 1 and A 2 and a three aperture output core B, the output winding 9 of cores A 1 and A 2 being connected in series opposition and with the input winding 7B of core B which passes through two apertures 4, 4a of core B in opposite directions. An output pulse is transferred to core B on clearing cores A 1 and A 2 only if cores A 1 and A 2 were in different " 0 " and " primed 1 " states. An output pulse in either direction is stated to switch core B to the " primed 1 " state. The turns ratio between the output windings on A 1 and A 2 and the input windings on core B is preferably 3: 1. The " 0," " 1 " and " primed 1 " states of the cores are also described in Specification 1,018,614.
