Abstract
1,018,479. Gas turbine combustion chambers. DAIMLER BENZ A.G. June 23, 1964 [July 4, 1963], No. 25958/64. Heading F1L. The inner and outer walls of an annular gas turbine flame chamber are mounted independently of one another and mutually unconnected, the front and rear ends of both walls being engaged with fixed annular supporting parts so as to be freely movable both radially outwards and axially. The flame chamber has inner and outer annular walls 21, 11 with respective front ends 22, 12 slidably mounted on rings 16, 15. Respective rear ends 23, 13 carry L and U-section rings 23<SP>1</SP>, 13<SP>1</SP> slidably mounted on annular flanges 19, 18 attached to the turbine nozzle ring 17. Walls 21, 11 are not interconnected and can expand freely radially outwards and axially.
