Abstract

A tile grouting material comprises a minor amount of elastomer and a major amount of inert mineral filler together with small amounts of a stabilizing agent, an anti-foam agent and a fungicide. Specified elastomers are butadienemethyl methacrylate and butadiene styrene while molochite, ground silica, ground glass, ground fused quartz, ground pottery and calcium carbonate are specified inert fillers, which may also contain colouring media or pigments e.g. titanium oxide. Methyl cellulose, and the condensation product of ethylene oxide and nonyl phenol are specified stabilizers, and an organic mercury compound the fungicide.
