1,017,739. Producing tubular joints. KEENAN BROS. Ltd. Dec. 24, 1962 [Feb. 28, 1962], No. 48544/62. Heading B3A. A method of securing a first tube 1 to a second tube to form a T-joint, comprises deforming the tube 1 against a former 3, which is of the same diameter as the outside of the second tube and which includes a locating spigot 5, and then welding the deformed tube to the second tube. The tube 1 can, if desired, be deformed at both ends simultaneously using two formers.
