A practice projectile comprises a casing 1 of synthetic plastics provided with a driving band 2 and closed at the base by a cover plate 3. Housed in the casing is compressed metal powder 4 surrounding an ignition tube 5 as in Specification 1,016,584. A self-destruction charge 6 is housed in the nose of the projectile.
