The subject matter is identical with that of Specification 1,015,642 but the claims relate to guide means for a continuous strip 116 (not shown) of fabric, which guide means comprises a rotatable drive roller 48, a carriage 76 movably mounted on a guide rail 75 extending parallel to the guide roller axis 47, a guide loop 110 on the carriage 76 for receiving the fabric strip 116, means for driving the carriage 76 to reciprocate the loop 110 lengthwise of the roller 48 as the roller is rotated, and a roller 114 journalled to the carriage 76 in alignment with the loop 110 and adapted to clamp the fabric strip 116 against the roller 48.
