Abstract

1,015,342. Irradiation apparatus. UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. July 27, 1964 [July 29, 1963], No. 29934/63. Addition to 1,009,000. Heading H5R. The entrance or exit door to an irradiation cell, as described in the parent Specification has a central portion 3 in the form of a right vertical cylinder of shielding material and a plurality of detachable projecting leaves or vanes 4, attached to the central portion, which form recesses 6, 7 to receive containers to be passed into the cell by rotation of the door. The vanes may be attached once the central portion 3 has been located in position in the entrance chamber 5.
