Abstract

1,014,915. Two-part couplings. AMP Inc. June 26, 1964 [July 9, 1963], No. 26457/64. Heading H2E. Mating connectors 20, 24 are housed in parts A and B respectively of a bipartite housing and each part A and B is constructed from identical modules 1, 2 &c., 21, 22 &c. adjoining recesses in adjacent modules forming passageways which accommodate the convectors, and the modules co-operating with each other to retain them. The modules are moulded, e.g. from nylon, and secured together by headed projections 11 and 29 on one side of each module snap-fitting into recesses 12, 30 on the other side of an adjacent module. End-pieces 17, 33 have mounting flanges. In a modification, the modules forming part A are secured together by a rod passing through apertures in the modules.
