Abstract

1,014,732. Dry shavers. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 18, 1962 [Sept. 21, 1961], No. 35488/62. Heading B4B. In a hair-clipping attachment for a dry shaver comprising movable and fixed blades 6, 12 mounted in a casing 8 and projecting through an opening 24 in the casing to the exterior thereof, the casing having a wall 14 an edge of which is adapted to fit against an edge of the wall 3 of the shaver casing, a member 15 is mounted on the blade 6 to cover that portion of the opening 24 which extends across the surface of the blade 6. The member 15 has one side 16 which is curved and an opposite side 20 which extends parallel to a row of teeth 19 on the blade 6. The member 15 is of synthetic, e.g. thermoplastic, material and has integral studs 21 fixed in holes in the blade 6. The blade 6 is oscillated about a spigot 7 by means of a cam 10 fixed on shaver spindle 5 and engaging in an aperture 11 in the blade.
