Abstract

1,014,174. Latches. MICRO & PRECISION MOULDINGS (CHELTENHAM) Ltd. April 25, 1962 [May 16,1961], No.17714/61. Heading E2A. A door latch as described in the first embodiment of Specification 1,014,173 has a housing 1 formed in two parts 6, 7 bearing apertures 22, 23 through which the shaft 25 extends. Part 7 bears a lip 15 which engages an abutment 16 of the part 6 to maintain the parts together. Moreover, the part 7 terminates in a spring clip 17 bearing arms 17a which grip the end of the part 6 in the retaining position. In a modification a sleeve engages over the end 8 of part 6, and part 7. The housing may be moulded of plastics or die-cast.
