Abstract
A transparent window pane for e.g. vehicles which both reflects heat and has a low electrical resistance for electric heating comprises a transparent layer of glass or synthetic resin, an adhesive layer, a gold layer and a covering layer over the gold layer, both the adhesive and covering layers consisting of zinc sulphide or selenide or lead fluoride. The layers may be applied by evaporation in vacuo. The covering layer may have a protective layer of silicic acid. The pane may be used as one pane in a double glazing unit (see Division E1).
