In a system feeding compressed air to a number of air blast circuit breakers 7 the pressure levels in the storage tank 3, in the distribution network 5 and in the circuit breaker tank 11 respectively are maintained such that their ranges of regulation do not overlap. The pressure in the circuit breaker tank 11 is controlled by a pressure reducing valve 9, itself controlled by the pressure within the tank 11.
