1,013,261. Milling-cutters. FERTIGUNGSTECHNIK UND MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H. GES. FUR. Aug. 2, 1962 [Aug. 4, 1961], No. 29654/62. Heading B3K. A milling cutter comprises bits 11 seated on prismatic inserts 10 in recesses tangential to the cutter body and held by strips engaged by eccentrics 13, there being clearance bores 6, 7 at the intersections of the bearing surfaces in the recesses. Each strip has a part-cylindrical portion 14 passing through a bore 9, engages the eccentric pin 13 at each end, and clamps the bit to the insert 10 and a bearing face 4. Two teeth may be arranged one above the other, or staggered, and may be clamped with one strip.
