Abstract

An alloy has the following composition, by weight: <TABS:1013248/C6-C7/1> the atomic ratio of Zr/Hf to C being between 0.2 and 2. Examples of the alloy are homogenized at 2065 DEG C. for 1 hour in vacuum, worked and precipitation hardened at 1090 DEG C. for 1/2 hour in vacuum.
