A sparking plug comprises in combination an insulating body 4, a main conductor 5 embedded within the body, a plurality of further conductors 6 embedded within the body, portions of the further conductors extending parallel to the main conductor to define therewith a plurality of capacitors and the ends of the further conductors extending from the body so as each to define one terminal of a plurality of spark gaps and a metallic body 7 secured to the insulating body and carrying the other terminals 8 of the spark gaps.
