An electro-erosion apparatus has a working capacitor 4 fed with alternating current through inductor 2 and resistance 3, and a discharge circuit including two unidirectional conductive devices 5, 6 connected respectively in series and in shunt with the gap between electrodes E and workpiece W, the values of L, R, C being such that the periodicity # of the A.C. source is determined by the equation and the circuit magnification given by the equation
