In the electro-erosion machining of carvilinear holes 4, an electrode tool 1 is used of a cross-section corresponding to that of the hole and which is bent to the required carvilinearity by passing through a bending die 2 immediately prior to the machining. The electrode is fed through the die and also during the machining by rollers 3. If a short-circuit occurs between the tool and workpiece, the tool is retracted.
