Abstract

1,011,061. Packaging paper sheets. KIMBEBLY-CLARK CORPORATION. May 7, 1962 [May 9, 1961 (2)], No. 17477/62. Addition to 968,496. Drawings to Specification. Heading B8C. Folded crÛpe tissues compressed and allowed to expand prior to cartoning as in the main Specification are selected and treated to produce a stack density when in the carton of between 2À75 and 4À85 grams per cubic inch in bone-dry condition. The tissues as packaged have a certain moisture content and the degree of compression applied is related to it, e.g. at 6% moisture content 700-930 lbs. per square inch is applied; at 10% moisture content, between 240 and 380 Ibs. per square inch. In the case of tissues with C-type folds, the density figures relate to the doubled margins and not the single centre area.
