Abstract

1,010,975. Cushion supports. VITA FOAM Ltd. May 8, 1964 [May 8, 1963], No. 18115/63. Heading A4M. A resilient, moulded cushion support 10, e.g. of rubber, having moulded-in, non- resilent frame attachment members located in spaced peripheral tongues 11 includes integral web portions 15 which fill the spaces between the attachment members whereby the support provides a continuous surface which extends to the surrounding frame to which it is attached. The attachment members may comprise U or V- shaped clips 12 (Fig. 2) having their free ends bent towards each other and provided with apertures 14 for engagement by attachment hooks. Alternatively (Fig. 4, not shown) the attachment members comprise moulded-in rods. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 6) the web 15 extends outwardly of the tongues 11, and a continuous peripheral bead 16 is provided. A method of moulding the support 10 with moulded-in attachment members is described.
