Eyeglasses.-The plaquets of eyeglasses of the spring-bridge type are provided with relatively unyielding upper parts and relatively yielding lower parts In the form shown in Fig. 2, the upper part 10 is connected by a stiff arm 15 to a. part 16 which is secured to the lens post, and the lower part 13 is connected by a flexible arm 12 to the upper part 10. in the form shown in Fig. 3, the upper part 22 is connected by an adjustable bend 21a to a piece 20 which is attached to the lens post, and the lower part is connected by a longer and flexible arm 24 to a piece 25 also attached to the lens post. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, the upper and lower parts 30, 33 are both connected to a piece 27 which is attached to the lens post, and the arm 32 carrying the lower part 33 is flexible.
