Abstract

1,010,415. Gas scrubbers. HUNSLET (HOLDINGS) Ltd. Sept. 7, 1964 [Sept. 20, 1963], No. 37042/63. Heading B1R. A gas scrubber comprises a Venturi-tube 15 arranged within a chamber 10 above a body of water and having a tube 17 dipping into the water such that when a gas is passed through the Venturi-tube water is sprayed into the gas through circumferentially spaced holes 16. A baffle 18 is arranged so that the gas after leaving the Venturi-tube traverses a tortuous path.
