Abstract

1, 010, 329. Lens systems. ELASTIC STOP NUT CORPORATION OF AMERICA. Aug. 30, 1962 [Sept. 29, 1961], No. 33328/62. Heading G2J. A lens comprises a smooth outer surface 12 and on to inner far swivel optical surfaces 20 which are identical and seem to divert incident light into a desired zone which producing peak intensity at an area of said zone. Each surface 20 has in the horizontal plane a curved section, the radius of which varies with the distance of the plane from the lens axis. In the vertical plane, the surface is derived into three or more zones of different radius, as shown at 30, 32 and 34 in Fig. 5. This lens is sealed at its edge to a rear lens of Fresnel type and is provided with an annular reflex reflector 22 formed of triple mirrors.
