Saws.-A saw blade, such as a hack-saw, is formed in sections comprising a body portion and a series of toothed sections connected end to end and to one edge of the body portion by overlapping lugs or joints. As shown, the body portion A is formed with recesses f, f<2>, alternating on opposite sides, in which are secured, by rivets such as m or by screws, plates or lugs g, Fig. 6, which project beyond the edge. The toothed sections B are formed with recesses k to receive the projecting parts of the lugs g, and with end recesses and projections on lugs i, engaging one section with another, and those on the end sections engaging with the recesses d in the shoulders b of the body A. The lugs i also are secured by rivets or screws m. The end shoulders j of the sections B butt one against another and against the shoulders b of the body A. The toothed sections B are all similar and interchangeable. Instead of separate plates g, lugs may be formed on and projecting from the edge of the body A. The rivets m are preferably formed with recessed ends, as shown in Fig. 9.
