Abstract

1,008,559. Compressors. M. CLAUSEN, [trading as FIRMA DANFOSS VED ING CLAUSEN M.] July 17, 1962 [Aug. 11, 1961], No. 27486/62. Heading FIN. The hermetically sealed casing of a refrigerant compressor is so constructed that its resonant frequency differs from the frequency of the sound vibrations generated by the motor-compressor unit within the casing, by making the whole of the casing wall so that it has a double curvature e.g., spherical. As shown the casing comprises two eliptical halves 7, 8 welded together at 9 and supported on a stand 10. A projection 14 allows for vibrational movement of the compressor 13 and a flattened portion 17 accommodates a terminal block 15.
