Abstract

1,035,834. Compressors. DANFOSS A.S. April 8, 1963 [April 10, 1962], No. 13941/63. Heading F1N. [Also in Division F4] In an encapsulated motor compressor unit for a refrigerator the capsule comprises two parts 12, 13 welded together at 14 by means of externally projecting flanges, the flanges being so dimensioned and arranged that they may be accommodated as shown within the limits of the smallest capsule-containing rectangular parallelepiped 15 viewed along at least one axis thereof. In the embodiment shown the capsule is of oval form and the flanges project beyond parallelepiped 15 at each end of the capsule (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown). A junction box 18 and a cylinder accommodating projection 19 (Fig. 7, not shown) are arranged within the confines of 15 as viewed in cross-section. In the embodiment of Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown) the flanges 3 are so bent and arranged that they do not project beyond parallelepiped 5 when viewed along any of the three main axes of the latter.
