Abstract

1,008,505. Extruding plastic material. E. QUENZER and P. SIMON, [trading as BODENSEE-DENTAL OHG]. Nov. 13, 1962. [Nov. 14, 1961], No. 42879/62. Heading FIR. Apparatus for extruding plastic material comprises a cylinder 1 of tin or polyester foil and a threaded spindle 6 acting on a piston 8. The cylinder is clamped between an outer annular member 3 and an inner ring 16 which is secured by an inner annular member 4. The nut 5 is prevented from rotating within the member 4 by mating longitudinal members or by virtue of a non-cylindrical shape and is split longitudinally. When the container is empty the spindle is withdrawn a few turns and then moved inwardly to move the nut out of its recess, whereupon the nut falls off. The spindle 6 may thus be used in other containers.
